Just because we’re using greenery doesn’t mean it’s cheaper 👀 Every stem of greenery goes through the same careful process as any flower, it’s processed, cleaned, prepped, hydrated, and inspected before we even start designing. We want every element to look perfect, and that attention to detail ensures the best possible result! | Cone Flower Designs

Prep prep prep!!! We set this entire reception space in 15 minutes because we prepped ahead of time! We cleaned, cut down and banded 18 individual bunches of ruscus for each round table in the studio. We dry the bunches in the morning before we leave so we don’t have to deal with water. Once we get to the venue we lay one bunch on each table then tackle one table at a time. It’s quick, efficient and easy to knock out this way! | Cone Flower Designs

PREP. This is key to being efficient and quick on site. We prep everything ahead of time. Greenery? Yes. Smilax? Yes. Loose Blooms? Yes. Everything we take on site is ready to go. Designing on site? Flowers have guard petals removed and opened. Recipe is pulled. Greenery is prepped. When we get on site it’s go time. We get in and we get out as quickly as we can so the next vendor can do their job. It also makes it so much easier for everything to be done and ready to be placed or set up. It sets

Our first time doing something like this and I think it turned out so good! It was quick to prep and easy to install. Plus know we know we can do the same mechanics for other installs! Let us know how you feel about it below! ⬇️ | Cone Flower Designs

We’re making scraps into stems. 🌾 Pampas grass doesn’t get tossed over here. Ever. When we prep stems for bouquets, we keep all the extra fluff in a designated prep bucket and that’s exactly what we use for boutonnieres, corsages, or any of the little extras. We even make our own stems to add into designs that need a little extra! Batta bing batta boom 💥 | Cone Flower Designs

Our system of hand laying greenery and loose blooms is unmatched. 👏🏻 One person is designated to the cart. They prep and lay the greenery and loose blooms on each table. Greenery is cut to where it can be placed right on the table along with the flowers prepped and cut down. We have the recipe already pulled from in the studio and the greenery cleaned up but still banded. We have a vase with the flowers for each table and all the greenery on the bottom of the cart. Two people are on table duty

Is it overkill? Never!! Hydration chambers for rectangle tables, yes please! We’re pretty hardcore about doing everything we can to prep ahead of time and honestly it saved SO much time on site. It’s worth it and you should be doing it! This method works like a charm every time! 👏🏻🤩 Of course we had to pivot from the OG plan but that’s what makes us problem solvers. Let’s talk about the different trays we use to design in! As a reminder, this is what WE use and how we describe/call them. 1. Black Tray: - most common one we use - fits an entire brick of foam - sits on the ground completely flat - no tipping 2. Green Tray: - fits an entire brick of foam - it’s rounded and elevated off the ground - the entire tray doesn’t sit flat so if the weight isn’t distributed correctly it will tip 3. Casket Saddle: - love this for windy situations - has shelf liner/drawe
